The Hochalm mountain hut is located at an altitude of 2174 m at the foot of the Hochwart in the Southern Stubai Alps, in a magnificent panoramic position amidst stunning nature. It is the starting point, destination, and base for mountain tours to the Hochwart, Hohe- and Kleine Kreuzspitze, as well as for the Passeirer Höhenweg, which leads from the hut to the Jaufenpass along the southern slopes of the Jaufenkamm.
The Evil Lake is a mountain lake located at an altitude of 2313 m near the Kleine Kreuzspitze in South Tyrol. It is located in the mountain range of the Stubai Alps, which separates the Passeier from the Ratschingstal, in the municipal area of St. Leonhard in Passeier. It is a protected natural monument.
Legend: Not far from Stuls, the Evil Lake is located on a beautiful alpine meadow. It has received its name due to the evil reputation it holds, as it is said to be inhabited by witches. It is said that the bottom of this lake consists of pure ore and there is a lot of gold at its bottom.
The Seeber Lake is accessible from the Oberglangegg Alm and the Seeber Alm, each with free parking next to the Timmelsjochstraße.
The Schwarz-See on the Timmels-Alm
The Große Schwarzsee (2505 m) is located in a wide rock basin in the Passeiertal. With a depth of about 30 meters and a diameter of 250 meters, it is one of the deepest and largest mountain lakes in South Tyrol.
The peaks Schwarzwandspitze (3354 m), Botzer (3251 m) and Schneeberger Weißen (2961 m) are located around the lake.
The hike to the Große Schwarzsee takes about 2.30 hours. The lake is also called Timmeler-Schwarzsee or Timmels-Schwarzsee.
The hiking area Hirzer High Plateau is located in the Passeier Valley and is accessed by the Hirzer Cable Car.
In Saltaus (490 m) is the valley station of the Hirzer cable car, which leads to the mountain station Klammeben (1980 m) to the hiking paradise Hirzer High Plateau, a hiking area in the Passeier Valley.
In Prenn (1404 m) is the middle station of the cable car. It is possible to get off or board at the middle station.
A special highlight on the Hirzer High Plateau and at the Hirzer Cable Car are the Tallner Sunntige (every first Sunday of the month from May to October). The Hirzer Cable Car, Verdinser Cable Car, Grube Chairlift, and the hosts of Obertall, Videgg, and the Hirzer hiking area invite you to hike and enjoy culinary delights.

The Stuller Waterfall Via Ferrata is a magnificent ferrata right next to a roaring waterfall and also on a sunny south face - what more could you want. In the Passeier Valley, not far from the small village of Moos, the waterfall of Stuls plunges down in two cascades to the Passer stream - the waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Italy. The ferrata was cleverly constructed in parts, with three very difficult variants - the third variant leads directly to the waterfall edge - that can be climbed. The via ferrata alternates between easy wall and walking sections with beautiful vertical and even briefly overhanging sections. Overall, a successful climbing facility, a great South Tyrolean classic!
The power of water plays a big role in the Passeier Valley. It is particularly impressive between Moos and St. Leonhard. Starting from the sports facilities in St. Leonhard, the path with the marking No. 1 follows the Passer River. After about a kilometer, a bridge leads to the southern side of the valley. Here begins the Gorge Trail, created in 2015.
An elaborate construction of metal bridges and stairs overcomes the difficult sections in the Passer Gorge, which extends for about 5 km up to Moos. About 340 meters in altitude have to be overcome to reach the destination. In return, you get special impressions of the forces of nature.
In addition, there is a view of the Stuller Waterfalls, always alternating with more comfortable passages through the forest on the valley slope. If you want to save the return trip, you can also take the bus from Moos back to St. Leonhard.
From the Bunker Mooseum at the edge of Moos (1,007 m), follow the E5 or the Kummersee circular trail No. 43. Hike along the Passer river valley for about 1 ½ hours to the valley basin below Rabenstein. The path continues to the left towards the dilapidated "Seehof". From the "Seehof", continue the short distance to the road leading to Rabenstein and then follow the Kummersee circular trail downstream to the village of Rabenstein (1,410 m). Information boards are placed along the way. Return to Moos along the same path.
